The Laundry Station offers fast, efficient self service laundry just a short drive from Maize, Kansas, with two Wichita locations: 555 S Oliver Ave and 2776 S Seneca St. Most wash cycles take around 20 minutes and typical loads take about 30 minutes to dry, so you can wash and dry a week’s worth of laundry in under an hour. Both stores are open daily from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM, with last wash at 9:15 PM, making it easy to fit laundry into your schedule before or after work, school, or weekend activities. Whether you’re handling a small basket or a large family haul, you get predictable, quick turnaround without the hassle of waiting all day on machines at home.
At The Laundry Station, self service customers get access to some of the largest washers and dryers in Kansas. Washers range from 20 lb (about 2 standard loads) up to massive 100 lb machines that can handle up to 10 loads at once, ideal for comforters, duvets, mattress toppers, futons, sleeping bags, pet bedding, and other bulky items that don’t fit well in home machines. Dryers are available in 45 lb and 75 lb capacities and all run for 30 minutes per cycle. The high-speed extract (final spin) on the washers reaches around 200 G’s, so clothes come out only damp, not dripping, which helps them dry faster and more evenly in the tumbler dryers.
At The Laundry Station, we offer a full range of washers and dryers to handle every laundry need. From 2-load washers to 10-load machines, our high-capacity washers make it easy to clean small or bulky loads efficiently. Our dryers, including 5-load and 8-load sizes, ensure your laundry dries quickly and evenly. With add-on options available, you can customize your wash for the best results.

Effortless Laundry with Wash & Fold & Free Pickup
At The Laundry Station, our clean, modern, and family-friendly laundromats in Wichita, KS make laundry day hassle-free. Prefer not to do it yourself? Take advantage of our professional wash & fold drop-off service, designed like your own personal laundry assistant.
The Laundry Station uses modern front-load commercial washers instead of outdated top-load machines. Front loaders lift and drop your laundry as the drum turns, scrubbing out dirt without the damaging agitator found in top-load washers. This helps reduce wear, fading, snags, and tears on everyday garments and delicate fabrics. Dryers are auto-reversing to prevent bedding and larger pieces from balling up, which means they dry more thoroughly and quickly. Stainless steel dryer drums (not galvanized) help reduce odors so your laundry comes out smelling fresh instead of burnt. Daily lint-screen cleaning and well-maintained equipment support consistently clean, reliable results for every load.
Self service customers can pay in the way that works best for them: quarters, credit/debit cards at the counter, or the Speed Queen app. Using the app, you can load value from paper money and earn rewards points with every wash and dry—15 points equals $1 in rewards, with double points offered all day on Thursdays. Both locations are bright, clean, and family-friendly, with air conditioning, automatic doors, zero entry, and handicap-accessible restrooms. On-site amenities include an ATM, bill changer, laundry supplies, durable laundry bags, snacks, and beverages, plus friendly attendants available during open hours to answer questions, start machines, or assist with payments.
In addition to self service laundry near Maize, The Laundry Station offers a convenient wash dry fold drop off service at both Wichita locations. Simply bring in your clothes, bedding, or other washable items, and their laundry professionals handle the washing, drying, folding, and packaging for you using premium detergents and softeners. Many orders can be completed the same day, with typical turnaround just a few hours on weekdays and usually under 24 hours on weekends and evenings. Orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and you receive a complimentary text when your laundry is ready for pickup. Your items are never washed or dried with anyone else’s laundry, and curbside assistance is available if you need help at drop off or pickup.
The Laundry Station also supports businesses that need reliable, high-capacity laundry service. With oversized commercial washers and dryers, they can handle frequent, large-volume loads for small businesses and organizations that require consistent cleanliness—such as rental properties, short-term stays, salons, massage practices, fitness studios, and more. Their combination of large machines, extended hours, and professional handling makes it easier for businesses to keep linens, towels, and uniforms clean without tying up staff time or overworking small in-house washers and dryers.
Self service customers at The Laundry Station bring a wide range of everyday and bulky items. Typical loads include basics like t-shirts, jeans, school clothes, work uniforms, socks, and undergarments; household textiles such as bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, kitchen towels, and cleaning rags; bedding including sheets, pillowcases, blankets, quilts, and bedspreads; larger pieces like down or synthetic comforters, duvets, mattress pads, mattress toppers, bed pillows, throw blankets, sleeping bags, and futon covers; as well as pet-related items like pet beds, crate pads, and washable pet blankets. Many customers also use the larger machines for items that are hard on a home washer, such as heavy hoodies, coats, jackets, and outdoor cushions.
